Spartan Davis

I like how this one turned out... this is a tribute to Spartan Davis; one of the player characters in "Halo:Spartan Assault". He's sort of like the Rookie in Halo 3: ODST; not much is known about him aside from his last name, and he doesn't say a word throughout the entire game. In the end, he goes down like Noble 6. After that, you spend the rest of the game playing as Commander Palmer.

Spartan Assault is a pretty cool game; a shame it's not available on Xbox Live Arcade. No idea if that'll ever change... it includes a lot of classic weapons from previous Halo games including the Dual SMGs, Brute Shot the Plasma Repeater and Focus Rifle from Halo:Reach, and some cool new toys as well; like the new "Seeker Drone" armor ability (a small UAV that homes in on enemies and explodes) and my personal favorite... the Grizzly. You know that giant tank from Halo Wars with the twin guns, basically a Scorpion on steroids? There's a couple of missions where you can drive it, and it's AWESOME. I hope they bring it back in Halo 5; I've always been a fan of the Scorpion. Ever since I first blasted my way through a horde of Ghosts and Wraiths on the bridge into New Mombasa in Halo 2... no naturally, I love the Grizzly.

Anyway, I used Monolith for this shot because I thought it looked a little bit like Draetheus V's moon. Though the map itself is set on an asteroid...
