Star Wars models for DAZ
Images of available Star Wars models for your 3D rendering. Note that these are not downloads but, where possible, download links will be on the pages. Some are hi-res characters and clothing for G8 and G3 models, some are simple objects such as vehicles. I'm hoping this will be a fairly exhaustive look at both free and premium models available for Star Wars fans.

EDIT: I decided to name this ship the TIE Experimental S2-M1 (Series 2, Model 1). I also added more detail to the cockpit, got rid of the cannons on the wings, and improved the missile launchers.
* * *
Not much; just a simple modification of the 9492 TIE Fighter set, which is still one of my favorites. This was inspired by one of the TIE Experimental models... there's a version of the TIE that has these little concussion missile launchers rigged to the wings, you see. I took that concept, and added my own custom feature, which is the extended hull with the R2 droid socket, which I first showed on my TIE Warrior concept.
You see, the 9492 TIE Fighter set comes with this really cool black R5 droid; just as an extra figure, as there's no where to actually put him on the TIE Fighter like with the X-Wing. So I decided to give the little droid a place to sit; I hope to be able to actually build this custom model eventually. I think I can get most of the parts I need from LEGOShop, and the rest from Bricklink.
Anyway, this custom TIE Fighter is armed with 2 heavy laser cannons just like the standard model, as well as 2 concussion missile launchers with 6 missiles each. It also has a hyperdrive, light shields, and of course an R2 unit behind the cockpit.

Got a parts list/instructions? I really love the use of the astromech as when we occasionally see them in the movies but never with/in the empire's ships
