Aurik Kal- Durin

Gamer and Jedi Knight

First Name: Anthony

Age: 32

Gender: Male

Religion: Catholic

Country: United States

I'm a patriotic God-fearing American and a gamer who occasionally enjoys writing fanfiction. Though I play a lot of first-person shooters and RPGs, my favorite gaming genre and the games I grew up with are flying games like Star Wars: Rogue Squadron and Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge. Only this year (2020) did I discover the Ace Combat franchise when I downloaded Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown from Xbox Game Pass, and it is by far my favorite game of the year.

I've suffered from autism my entire life. I had to leave school in 9th grade after eight-and-a-half years of pure torture, and I've spent nearly 15 years of my life living in isolation since then. I tried getting a job in 2019, but I couldn't handle being out in public and had no choice but to quit. My future is uncertain, so I mostly cope through escapist entertainment like video games, movies, and cartoons.

My favorite TV shows are Hilda, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Gravity Falls. I ship Davilda, Kataang, and Wendip. I loathe Zutara for it's toxic fandom, and the ship itself makes no sense. Likewise I'm against pretty much every fan-made crack ship, including but not limited to Billdip and Pinecest.

At 32 years old, I still live with my mom and dad... not something I'm proud of, but it can't be helped. I don't know how to function on my own, and I can't go outside without my mother holding my hand because of my autism.

I can be really sensitive and usually try to avoid conflicts or controversial discussions... which is one of the reasons why I can't stand SJWs. They make me feel like I'm constantly walking on eggshells, and I hate how they politicize everything. They're a bunch of miserable fascists who constantly tell everyone what to do and how to think, and I'm SICK of it.

I mostly hang around DeviantArt for the killer fan art, and I like to make friends with people who share similar interests, and talk about my favorite shows, games, movies, and books. If you ever feel like talking, feel free to leave a comment on my profile.

Over 10 years ago, my mom bought me my first computer. The first one that was MINE, anyway; I used to share my dad's old computer, but that sucked big time. I had no privacy using my dad's computer, and my dad never took care of his computers. His last computer, the one he had when he died, is so goddamn slow that it's almost completely unusable. But I digress. My computer was starting to slow down early last year, before my dad bought the farm. I knew I was gonna have to get a new one, eventually. A few days ago I told my mom it was time to take it in to get it fixed. But she didn't wanna spend the money to fix up a 10 year old computer. Said it was smarter to get a new one. Only I didn't wanna get another basic office job, like I had before. I wanted a gaming PC so I could enjoy all the perks of playing video games on PC, like console commands and mods. Cheat codes are mostly a thing of the past for console games, and there's only 2 games on console that support mods. Suffice to

As you can see below, the team behind Hilda originally had 6 additional episodes planned for Season 3, just like in previous seasons. But Netflix cut their order in half, so we only got 7 regular episodes, plus the series finale special. This sucks, it really does. Though I've enjoyed Season 3 and was satisfied by the finale, I still wish we could've gotten the whole thing. I wanted to see more of the Fairy Country, some backstory for Hilda's dad, and more of Tofoten. Though, I suppose we should be glad that Season 3 turned out as good as it did, despite this setback. Other shows have not faired as well, even when they were given a full season (or more) to tell the stories they wanted to. Thank God the writers were able to adapt to the situation and still deliver a satisfying conclusion to the show. If I had to pick 1 show out of all the shows I've watched in the last decade that could have a good ending, I'd choose Hilda every single time. It will always hold a special place in my

Well, that's it. It's finally over. Season 3 of Hilda is finally here, and now that I've watched it from start to finish, I'm ready to talk about it. What I liked, and what I didn't like. The good news is that what I didn't like was very minimal. And there isn't much in the way of bad news, besides the show being over. Anyway... let gets to it, and break it all down. WARNING: There's going to be LOTS of spoilers ahead. If you haven't watched the final season yet, you should do so before reading this. Otherwise, don't say I didn't warn you!!! The Bad... I want to start with the few things that didn't like just to get them out of the way. Three episode in this season that I probably won't go back and watch again anytime soon; The Faratok Tree, The Laughing Merman, and Strange Frequencies. The Faratok Tree and The Laughing Merman are unquestionably filler episodes. The Faratok Tree is kind of interesting, seeing what the world was like 3,000 years ago in the last days of the giants

More specifically, a flying game like Rogue Squadron. Yeah, I know we got Star Wars: Squadrons a few years back, but that game sucks ass. It was a stupid gimmick that nobody plays anymore, and it's not even fun to play against bots because of how broken the core gameplay is. What we need is something casual and fun, with a focus on single-player. Just like Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown. Hell, a Star Wars game built on the AC7 engine would be perfect. Combine good level design with a large selection of ships from both the Original Trilogy and Prequel eras, and I'd have a hard time putting it down. The one ship I wanna be able to fly to my heart's content would be the TIE Hunter. It's my all-time favorite Star Wars ship, bar none. It first appeared in Star Wars: Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike all the way back in 2003, but sadly the inclusion of ground combat in that game meant there were only 4 levels where you could actually fly it. But man, was it cool. The perfect seamless blend of

Boycott Bungie.

2 min read
I assume most Destiny and Halo fans have heard by now... but Bungie Studios just did something absolutely disgusting to many of it's veteran employees, including Michael Salvatori; you know, the other half of Marty O'Donnell? The man who helped compose the soundtracks for all 5 original Halo games as well as both Destiny, Destiny 2, and all of their expansions? Not only were they fired, but as Mint Blitz described in his video, it was done in an extremely disrespectful way. They were just locked out of the work accounts and not told anything, and other Bungie employees were told not to inform them. It's less like they were fired from their jobs, and more like they were excommunicated by a cult. And it is so fucking sick that I can't find the words to describe it. And just to be clear... no, this was NOT Sony's doing. This was all Bungie. If you are playing Destiny 2 right now, I urge you to STOP. Turn it off, uninstall the game, and cancel your pre-order for The Final Shape. Do

Used to be I could download game clips and screenshots directly from the Xbox website. But they axed that years ago. Then there was the Xbox Console Companion app, which worked perfectly. Then they just cut support for that one, too. The Xbox app on PC doesn't allow access to your game captures. The Game Bar is incredibly slow and doesn't update reliably whenever I take a screenshot or record a game clip on my console. That leaves OneDrive, which requires me to manually upload my game captures, and has less storage space than my Xbox unless I'm willing to pay for more... which I'm not. The alternative is to manually transfer captures from my Xbox to PC using a USB drive, which is so inconvenient. When is Microsoft gonna get their act together? They really should just bring back the Console Companion, cuz I'm tired of this. I should not have to jump through so many hoops just to download screenshots and game clips to my PC.

It's been over 4 months since my dad passed away, and it still feels so weird in my house without him here. It's quiet- which is a good thing- but me and my mom are still kind of in shock for the whole thing. Especially my mom. She was married to him for 45 years, and even with him gone, she still sleeps on her side of the bed, leaving my dad's side empty. She's doing all she can to keep our heads above water until we can figure out what we're going to do next; though, at times, I'm wondering if the stress is getting to her. She assures me she's fine, and I want to believe her... I hope she is. It feels weird that we're still going about our lives as if nothing's happened. I do the same fucking thing every day, same as before he died. It's like he was never hear to begin with. Or rather, it doesn't feel like he actually died, more like he disappeared... especially for me. I never saw his body. I didn't go down to the garage that morning after my mom found him; I didn't want to see

I just saw "Sound of Freedom" tonight. It was an incredible movie. I wanna talk more about it later, but for now... if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend that you do. It handles the subject matter tastefully, tells an emotionally gripping story, and the performances are top-notch, as is the music.

Ezra Bridger is a stupid, annoying, and whiny character, and for the life of me I cannot figure out why ANYONE would be excited for his return in the upcoming Ahsoka series. Hopefully he doesn't actually return and is just KO'd off-screen...

Someone made a fanart of your Lydia (Davilda's daughter)

Lydia (Davilda's daughter)

I see you are quite the David fan.

Are you excited for GTA 6?

Not really. I don't play GTA.

Fair enough.

Personally, I’m really hyped because I’ve always loved the stories and the open world aspect.

Love the new profile pic.
